The Orlando Magic are making a major play for fan affordability, introducing $20 tickets, cheaper concessions, and free train rides for the 2026-27 NBA season. This initiative, announced ahead of the new campaign, directly tackles the rising costs of attending live games at Kia Center. The move comes as the team looks to build its fanbase.

The centerpiece is the Monthly Steals Program. Each month, fans signed up for text alerts get access to $20 tickets for every home game. Seats are limited and assigned based on availability. The team is also expanding community programs. Complimentary tickets will go to Jr. Magic and Honor Roll participants, while Orange County Public Schools staff and OneBlood donors can get discounts.

Inside the arena, the new Fan Favorites Value Menu hits concessions. You can find $2 water, $3 hot dogs, and $7 12-ounce beers at stands in Sections 115 and 218. Popcorn, nachos, and soda are also on the cheaper menu. Merchandise gets a price cut too. The Magic Authentics shop will feature a rotating "item of the game" from $15, plus weekly promotions for $15 hats or T-shirts.

Transportation costs are covered. The Magic's partnership with SunRail continues, giving ticket holders free train rides to and from games. The service connects 17 stations across Central Florida to a stop near Kia Center.

Magic president of business operations Charlie Freeman said keeping games accessible is a priority for ownership. He stated the organization wants the team's on-court growth matched by an affordable arena experience for local families. With NBA ticket and food prices often soaring, this package of discounts is a clear attempt to stand out.

It's a strategic investment in fan loyalty. Affordable options could help fill seats and build a more consistent home-court advantage.

A night at an NBA arena still costs money. But the Magic are offering far more low-cost entry points than most franchises. A family could now realistically plan a game around a $20 ticket, a $3 hot dog, and a free train trip. That's a significant shift from the typical modern sports outing.

The Eighty9 Collection, an in-house apparel line, provides a more affordable merch option. Group ticket packages also remain for those wanting to save on specific games. Every element of the fan journey, from travel to food to souvenirs, has been reviewed for savings. This holistic approach could make Kia Center one of the more budget-friendly destinations in the league next season.
